Upcoming Public Performances in April!

Portland Eurythmy is proud to present two public performances on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, for both young and old! At 2pm, we will offer our fairy tale, The Woman Who Flummoxed the Fairies, a light-hearted tale about a clever baker and the cake-loving fairies who try to steal her away forever! Suitable for all ages. Run time approx. 45-minutes.

At 7:30pm, for our adult audiences, we will offer our program entitled, Earth: This Being Human, recently presented during Portland’s 2022 Fertile Ground Festival of New Works, an on-line festival that year. This will be our first opportunity to perform this program for a live audience in its entirety and we are thrilled! Run time approx. 50 minutes.
*Both performances will be located in the Performance Space (North Entrance) at Cedarwood Waldorf School, located at 3030 SW 2nd Ave., Portland, OR 97201. Donations gladly accepted.

New Community Eurythmy Classes Beginning February 2021

Jolanda Frischknecht will be teaching an exciting new 6-class series, “The Eurythmy Gestures of the Zodiac Signs.”
In 1924, Rudolf Steiner brought in lecture 10 in the book, Eurythmy as Visible Speech, a whole new cosmic theme: the gestures of the zodiac. He called it simply, “Gestures arising out of the nature of the human being” and “In their totality, these gestures represent the entire human being: we could say, it is the human being split up in twelve separate elements, but still the entire being.” We hope you can join us for these wonderful, cosmic gestures!
Two opportunities to join the six sessions:
Wednesdays, 7:00-8:15pm at Bothmer Hall, 5915 SE Division St., Portland, OR, on 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17
Saturdays, 9:00-10:15 at Lajja Space, 10815 SE Main St., Milwaukie on 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20
Please contact Jolanda at jolandamf44@gmail.com for more information and to sign up. Spaces are limited. $15 per class (sliding scale available).
