Pacific Eurythmy, Portland Eurythmy’s training branch, will begin a new module of their training initiative in September 2021. Please refer to their website at www.PacificEurythmy.com for additional information.
Jolanda Frischknecht will be teaching an exciting new 6-class series, “The Eurythmy Gestures of the Zodiac Signs.”
In 1924, Rudolf Steiner brought in lecture 10 in the book, Eurythmy as Visible Speech, a whole new cosmic theme: the gestures of the zodiac. He called it simply, “Gestures arising out of the nature of the human being” and “In their totality, these gestures represent the entire human being: we could say, it is the human being split up in twelve separate elements, but still the entire being.” We hope you can join us for these wonderful, cosmic gestures!
Two opportunities to join the six sessions:
Wednesdays, 7:00-8:15pm at Bothmer Hall, 5915 SE Division St., Portland, OR, on 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17
Saturdays, 9:00-10:15 at Lajja Space, 10815 SE Main St., Milwaukie on 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20
Please contact Jolanda at email@example.com for more information and to sign up. Spaces are limited. $15 per class (sliding scale available).
In these quickly changing and challenging times, we are all looking for ways to bring joy, community, and centering in to our lives. Eurythmy can bring all of these together. Sarah Rem and Carrie Mass are looking to bring Eurythmy to our broader community. If you are a part of a small group or a home schooling group and would like to have eurythmy for yourself or your children please contact them at: Carecare0@gmail.com or Sannerem@gmail.com. We look forward to sharing this healing art of movement with those who seek it!
Beginning July 8, 2020, James Knight will be teaching a community Eurythmy class at Bothmer Hall Wednesdays from 6-7pm focusing on basic elements. All skill levels welcome! Social distances measures will be in place, up to 10 participants can be hosted. No cost but donations accepted to cover cost of hall and musician. 5915 SE Division St., Portland, OR.
